Rickards Media Services tunes into CMS IT support

Auditors and consultants to media owners, advertisers and trade bodies, Rickards Media Services Ltd has appointed CMS Group to provide consultancy and support for the company's IT systems at its central London offices.

Rickards Media Services audits in excess of £4.5 billion of media expenditure annually for all media sectors in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. The company's services also include Terms and Conditions of Business review, commercial contract design and implementation. It was the appointment of Kevin Waller, a former Channel 4 Manager, as Director of Operations that prompted a reappraisal of its IT systems. “Our mission is to optimise the value of our clients' commercial contracts. To do this we need to ensure our internal systems and controls are professional and in-tune with our business and client requirements. Working with CMS has given us a fresh perspective enabling us to undertake a thorough IT review and so establish a solid platform for future growth,” says Kevin Waller.

The review of Rickards' hardware, software and business processes highlighted infrastructure and business continuity planning improvements which have been put in place. CMS is now providing on-going, help desk support for Rickards Media Service's office PC network, laptops and servers together with secure remote access and off-site, back-up services, and IT reviews.
