SERVER REpLICATION
If your IT systems are business critical (which most are), have you considered what would happen in the event of a server crash, or an incident that causes your central servers to cease operation? To avoid this kind of disaster, CMS advises companies to create a second server suite on the same LAN and, replicate your systems in real-time.
In the event of the first server suite failing, the second server suite instantly takes over and continues services to end users without any noticeable interruption to service delivery.
CMS recommends the Double Take, host-based, software replication product. Double Take works by replicating changes at the byte level as they occur over standard network connections. Remote replicated servers may be based locally in the same building or site, providing a high availability solution. Alternatively the replicated servers can be based off-site in order to provide a complete Disaster Recovery Solution (see also Server Hosting).
Double Take is the only software replication product to achieve Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 Server, Advanced Server and Data Centre Certifications.
