CMS Group goes virtual with VMware Enterprise Partner and Citrix Xen Server accreditations

IT out-tasking specialist, CMS Group has received accreditation in Virtualisation technology from the industry's two leading Virtualisation software companies: VMware and Citrix. As a VMWare Enterprise Partner and Citrix Xen Server, CMS is able to work with companies to optimise their IT resources and reducing server total cost of ownership.

Virtualisation is emerging as a business-critical IT application for many companies. The technology visualises servers, storage and networking, allowing different operating systems and associated applications to run independently in virtual machines. 

The CMS virtualisation accreditations follow a two year qualifying and training programme during which the company has deployed virtualisation solutions to handle business continuity with rapid and reliable failover followed by recovery to any hardware server.  Importantly CMS has also handled major consolidation and containment projects at corporate data centres and its Manchester computer hosting centre.
