Cameron House was purchased in November 2015 by KSL Capital Partners, a US private equity firm dedicated to investment in the travel and leisure businesses. CMS was awarded the contract to provide a fully Cloud-based IT solution, providing a hosted desktop that would easily provide links to other hosted applications.

Move to the Cloud
KSL Resorts already own Village Resorts and The Belfry Hotel. KSL selected best of breed applications for the various requirements within the Hotel, this meant creating a new hosted desktop, linking with the various vendor’s cloud delivery systems. Success depended on good communications and completion within the previously stated four weeks delivery time. CMS successfully achieved getting all systems were up and running within this tight deadline. CMS provides a complete 24*7*365 Service Desk for all IT problems, if an error/problem exists with an application CMS service desk staff liaise with the vendor, invoke agreed SLA’s and keep the end-user/business updated on progress. This provides Cameron House with a single point of contact, plus complete reporting on all IT related issues, even by the Application vendor.
The desktop was delivered using Citrix XenApp 7.6 along with Netscaler version 11. Client utilised Microsoft 365 also using One Drive. Various third-party applications were used hosted by the vendors on their own Cloud offering.

CMS delivered a proposal covering all these requirements, both from a commercial and timeline perspective. The project was delivered on time within challenging time constraints; whilst there were challenges along the way, CMS dealt with these and went beyond their remit, demonstrating a true ownership of the project.
The hosted desktop now delivers outstanding performance and I know that on a daily basis I do not need to get involved with support, if a serious escalation arises I am always kept informed in a timely manner. This allows me to focus on the bigger picture delivering and adding real value to the business.
